It was a great pleasure to judge at this well run show, my thanks to the exhibitors for such a super entry. Thanks also to the President & Committee for their kindness & hospitality.

There were were many really good dogs, temperaments were very good as was presentation. BIS was the superb bitch McPherson’s Knecht Golda RBIS & BPIS was Downie’s Knecht Aldo and RBPIS was the MPB Mr & Mrs Sommerville’s Peaselye Alumini. Best Veteran was Downie’s Ch Knecht Merete.

Veteran Dog (5,1) Very good class
1st McIlroy-Stracey’s Ch Krieger Storm, Handsome dog, well constructed, in lovely condition, won on his sound movement.
2nd Wright & Wilkinson’s Elsco the Next Generation, Close up to first & another who looked really good, a credit to their owners.
3rd Morton’s Threepwood Travis

Veteran Bitch (7,6)
1st Downie’s Ch Knecht Merete This bitch is a favourite of mine, she is everything a Dobermann should be, Strength with elegance, beautiful head, good reach of neck, correct shoulder, firm in body, good feet, beautifully balanced. Best Veteran.

Minor Puppy Dog (3)
1st Feeney’s Diego’s Bump ‘n’ Grind Most promising youngster, pleasing head, good in neck & shoulder, good front & moved well for a youngster.
2nd Cannon’s Krieger Lord O the Ring Another nice youngster, well put together, today not quite as firm in front movement as first, but time is on his side.
3rd MacLellan & Hallmarks Codeve Captain Cool

Puppy Dog (6,1) This was a class of really lovely puppies.
1st Downie’s Knecht Aldo Stunning young dog, long, clean head, correct eye, ears well set, strong muzzle, long muscular neck, well set onto a good lay of shoulder. Good in forechest, & well bodied, firm topline, good in hindquarters, excelled in movement, with good reach in front & drive in the hindquarters. Showed non stop, well handled. BD RBIS BPIS.
2nd Pagan’s Trystorme Tarantino Another one showing much promise, really put in a good performance & so much to admire
3rd Maitland’s Supeta’s Jeu D’Esprit

Minor Puppy Bitch (5,1) Another group of promising puppies.
1st Somerville’s Peaselye Alumini This young lass certainly knows how to turn on the charm. So well constructed, lovely head, with such a firm body. Beautifully schooled, she stood & showed herself off with that ‘look at me’ style. Moved well went onto RBPIS.
2nd Saunders Showadows Madame Lucifer, Another nice one, not quite as forward as first, pleasing in head, showed well.
3rd Somerville’s Krieger Love Affair

Puppy Bitch (7,1)
1st Campbell’s Durin’s Bridge Well balanced, good head, good in body, well handled.
2nd Richardson’s Trystorme Boogie Woogie at Jasprico, Little separated 1 & 2 & another with promise.
3rd Young’s Trystorme Beezie Madden at Malabray

Junior Dog (7)
1st Coll’s Khazaddum Timekeeper von Coltregan, Well bodied & muscled dog, good head, with correct wedge, good reach of neck, well boned, good feet. Shows strength with required elegance, moved & handled well.
2nd Brown’s Lamarg Lucifer Well handled, handles well, pleasing in head & body
3rd Kelly’s Krieger Jack the Lad at Delainmas

Yearling Dog (5,1)
1st & RBD Somerville’s Diego’s De Boer Very sound, good outline, good head, reach of neck, well bodied, good feet, moved well.

2nd Watson’s Diego’s De La Cruz Another good dog, with good outline, pleasing head, strong in bone, good feet.

1st Cranston’s Jowendy’s Jump the Gun Handsome dog, head is long, good neck, well bodied, good bone & feet, well shown & handled.

1st Cairn’s Lamarg La Femme Fatal Well balanced bitch, good head, has firm topline, good bone & feet, moved well
2nd Cranston’s Mountcraig Ain’t Misbehavin Still a puppy, but is well bodied & moved & showed well.

1st Brown’s Lamarg Dolce Vita Really good outline, coupled with elegance. Good head, good reach of neck, good in body, legs & feet, moved well which clinched the class for her.
2nd Penn’s Penultimate Sweet Dream Pleasing one well handled
3rd Bisland & Pagan’s Trystorme Indignation

Limit Bitch (9,4) Excellent class
1st McPhersons Knecht Golda Absolutely fills the bill, beautifully balanced, head is a clean wedge, strong muzzle, correcy almond eye, ears well set, well arched neck, set onto correct lay of shoulder, correct body, well sprung ribs, firm topline. Muscular hindquarters, correct well arched feet. In beautiful coat & condition. On the move was a joy to watch, good reach in forequarters with good drive from the hindquarters, such a free mover. Stood & showed to perfection, sensibly handled. I wish them well for the future. BIS.
2nd Wilson-Simpson’s Newtrow’s Janjo Another very good one, who worked hard to give her best. Much to like about this one.
3rd McIlroy-Stracey’s Krieger Illicit Proposal

Open Bitch (6,2)
1st 7 RBB Rutherford & McIlroys Ch Krieger Endless Love Well known & pleasing one, has all the essentials. Well presented, a worthy champion
2nd Elmslie’s Vonedstram Vituoso, one I liked very much, this elegant bitch put up a good performance. If my memory serves me right I remember her lovely dam ‘The Vixen’
3rd Cairn’s Lamarg Gucci I see is another by Victor v Roveline I noticed when writing this report what an influential sire he is, and another Ch Korifey iz Zoosfery. Of course, one must not forget the bitches in all this, but I found this interesting.

My thanks to my stewards, and having a large ring, did mean one can really see the dogs move. There was a very good atmosphere, & I did enjoy judging one of my favourite breeds.
