The Twilly Memorial Dog Show is being held in aid of The Animal Health Trust and Canine Partners.
The AHT is a registered charity that receives no government funding & relies on charitable income to continue it's pioneering research & clinical work. 2007 saw the AHT celebrating it's 10-year anniversary of the opening the Small Animal Hospital, a pioneering veterinary hospital dedicated to improving the health and welfare of the UK’s dogs and cats.
Canine
Partners is a progressive charity that aims to transform the lives
of people with disabilities, enabling them to live more independently by partnering
them with highly trained assistance dogs.
As a registered charity we receive no government funding and are wholly dependent
on
public donations and legacies.
Come
& have a great day out at our Companion Dog Show! Companion Dog Shows
are fun for all dogs; mutts to mongrels, pedigrees & pooches, all are
welcome. Try your hand at dog showing ~ join in our Novelty classes (including
classes for disabled dogs or owners, rescue dogs & Companion Dog Club
Members) or practice your skills in our Obedience or handling competition.
Pedigree dogs have their own classes as do crossbreeds!
Your
dog does not have to be registered with the Kennel Club to take part at a
Companion Dog Show, however, only members of the Kennel Clubs' Companion Dog
Club can enter the
2
special classes specifically put on for them. If you wish to become a member
of the Companion Dog Club, you can fill in an application form & join
on the day ~ for futher information on the Kennel Clubs' Companion Dog Club
please visit their website: www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/cdc.
For details of other Companion Dog Shows in our area, please click
here. (This diary is maintained by Donna Goodall - thanks Donna!)
We look forward to hopefully seeing you & your dogs on the day, helping us to raise vital funds for the The AHT Cancer Research Appeal & Canine Partners.
NB ~ Please note only dogs aged 6 months & over on the day of the show are eligible for entry into classes. If your puppy is under 6 months old, then please still come along for a great day of socialising & meeting likeminded "doggie" people whilst supporting our worthwhile charities.
PLEASE
DO NOT bring bitches
who are in season along with you & dogs with Kennel Cough
are also NOT welcome at our
show.
