In aid of the AHT (Cancer Research Appeal) & Dog A.I.D. (Assistance In Disability).
The AHT are committed to developing better means of diagnosing and treating diseases of companion animals. With our innovative and pioneering research programmes, we are at the forefront of developments for both inherited and infectious diseases. Our clinical and research experts work closely together to benefit not only individual cases, but the veterinary profession as a whole, internationally.
Dog A.I.D. is a national voluntary organisation which provides specialised training for people with physical disabilities and their own pet dog. The main difference between Dog AID and many other assistance groups is that the disabled owner learns how to train their own dog. Generally all the training is carried out by the owner with supervision from a specially trained instructor.
